Will Nettles work for allergy to dog's? WHat are > effective treatment / herbs for this? Nettles doesn't work for everyone but worked for me......I am supposed to be allergic to just about everything inside and out! - including dogs, mostly because of what they bring into the house. I hardly have any allergies left for three years now.....I started taking freeze-dried nettle capsules as they are supposed to be stronger...not sure if that is true or not but now I use my own nettles, mostly in tea for prevention. I don't think the tea would be enough for your husband unless he took a lot of it. Eyebright is also good for allergies. I have used eyebright tincture recently and it worked well for me. A tincture formula book I have says to combine the following tinctures: 34% eyebright flowering herb (Euphrasia officianalis) 20% goldenseal rhizome and root 18% Horseradish root 14% nettle mature seed 14% yarrow flowers For acute allergies: 3-5 times a day, take 30-40 drops in water and when the allergy slows up some: 2-5 times a day take 30-40 drops If I every have an acute problem again, this it what I would use......Joan ************************* joanr My Country Garden http://www.mycountrygarden.net
