Guest guest
Laura, My family's been dealing with some mental facility problems, and I've seen a lot of help derived from using Choline and DMAE together. This has helped to regain clarity of thinking and memory. Hope this is helpful. Guest guest
Thanks for everyone's thoughts on this. I did some research on Alzheimers and realized that my Mom isn't heading that way yet so am thankful for that. Another way I realized she has dementia (from a pamphlet I saw is that Alzheimers patients don't know how to use a key, dementia patients can lose their key but know how to use it. Jennifer, what is DMAE? I don't have a way to get herbs to help my Mom as I am not there every day, not there when the juice is around, etc. etc. Herbs twice a week wouldn't help. The care home might be willing to give her B vitamins though. Also if I bought herb capsules for her for the care home to give her, I have no way of monitoring her. She is on a number of medications that she has been on for years like synthroid and I don't have a clue about interactions and even if I did I couldn't monitor her which could be very dangerous. I know it sounds like a lot of excuses but I have thought long and hard about herbs for my Mother and can't see any way of doing it. Sadly too, there really isn't a large part of the population that believes in herbs although in British Columbia we are free to use them without being persecuted in any way. I doubt if the care home would even consider it though .................Joan ************************* joanr My Country Garden http://mycountrygarden.net

He says " Clinical studies have shown that the drug is highly effective in reversing mental disorders such as confusion, psychosomatic asthenia, and memory and intellectual disturbances. The drug consists of two compounds: P-Chlorophenoxyacetic Acid (a type of plant hormone and DMAE (Diemethlylaminoethonol), a precursor to acetylcholine the brain chemical that regulates memory and intelligence. Both of these compounds work together to produce profound rejuvenation effects in patients. Centrophenoxine improves mental functions by rejuvenating the synaptic structures of brain cells. The synapse is the region of communication between brain cells where nerve impulses pass from one cell to another. Treatment with Centrophenoxine has led to a significant reduction of lipofuscin (brown age spots) in the skin of geriatric patients.... He then goes on to talk about L- Dopa (Levodopa) an amino acid. He also mentions a couple other drugs; one called Hydergine, and one called Vasopressin. But, I was trying to mainly endorse herbal or suppliments that were natural. Hope this is helpful. -- Health, Hope, Joy & Healing : May you Prosper, even as your Soul Prospers 3John 2 Jennifer Email advice is not a substitute for medical treatment. ____________ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
