Guest guest
well, I am not sure, but I doubt it. it is not a tree nut, which is what triggers most of these allergies..peanut, sesame, sunflower and poppy also trigger reactions in some, but i have never heard of jojoba in this manner. it is a seed from a shrub, not a nut from a tree. i have not done enough checking to know the chemistry of the substance in tree nuts that triggers reactions, but jojoba's chemistry (waxy esters, not oil) in supposed to be more like whale spermaceti...it just seems to different to be a likely culprit..I could be wrong, but i don't think so...Joanie >It is a wax, but it comes from a nut, or seed. >You think it is a 'nut' wax? Like do you have to be careful with it (i.e. >list it as a nut) for people who are allergic to nuts? >Just Curious around here nut is the allergy 'du jour' >Heidi
