I'm trying to figure out a recipe for skin problems with things I have

onhand. It needs to be sprayable (it's for my dog). I read stinging nettle is

good for eczema so I thought maybe just making a tea and spraying on the skin

might work but since then my brain has been spinning and I'm confused, LOL.

Should I use a different base than water? I have glycerin, olive oil, or DMSO

(the horse kind) Should I add Aloe and maybe ground ivy? Or should I make a

tincture? (Arrggghhhh!)

The problem is dry, itchy skin where the hair falls out from

biting/scratching, leading to sores. Caused by allergies I think.

Thanks for any help,

Dena

According to the Vet simba has a inherited skin condition- that gets

worse when he has wheat products and fleas- the saliva. His mother

and her father had it.He also is nervous- the type of dog

terrier, chuihuaha mix.The vet suggested a diet very similar to what

Penny had used for her dogs.Raw foods though. It's been about a month

and it's working okay.He smells a lot less and his hair has grown in-

no red spots and lots less icthing.I am so glad -I felt so bad when

he was so icthy and smelled so bad he couldn't snuggle. June
