Guest guest
Hi, does anyone have any tincture formulas that work on the FIRST OR SECOND dose? I made a pain tincture with (j. dogwood, petasites, st. johns wort, meadowsweet, and willow bark) and my husband took 4 dropperfulls and no relief. If someone has to take something 4xs/day for a week to see any results, it wont help the immediate problem or symptom. He probably wont take it again. I realize tho, that most herbs take time to get into your system. I made a valerian/p.f. tincture that works as a diuretic on me, so dont know if it helps sleep bec. I was up ev. 20 min. LOL and the dandelion tea DOESNT act as a diuretic. Go figure. I thought the actions of herbs were universal, but maybe they are individual, or I am just a kook, lol Take good care and have a great day. Hi, Renee. I am familiar with that formula.....I bought a small bottle of it until I could make my own. I twisted my ankle last week and took a dose (I think it was about 2 or 3 dropperfuls) and it worked for me.....it has to be somewhat individual though, as everything works too well for me so I always take less than average doses to start. The doses on those bottles are averaged too, and probably he didn't take enough for his body weight etc. or acuteness of his pain or something. I looked at the bottle and it said 30-40 drops 3-5 times a day so maybe it would have affected him differently if he took it more than once. My local herb company has the same dose on most of their tinctures but when you buy one they tell you how much to take which is always more than listed..............................Joan ************************* joanr My Country Garden http://mycountrygarden.net
Guest guest
Joan, thanks, I shall give him 1/3 cup, LOL (kidding) I am realizing that weight and maybe gender is a factor in doses. Thank you Take good care and have a great day. Love, Renee and Jerry
