Jamie, I make an herbal salve that I just love. I put all my herbs in one cup of olive oil and simmer over very low heat for 2-3 hours then strain with cheese cloth. I then mix with melted beeswax and add essential oils. I just love it. It helps relieve pain, itching, and all around boo boo salve. I also make a bar for arthritis and joint pain. I have a nerve disease that causes severe pain and this really helps when my muscles swell and cause pain.

Essential oils are wonderful for pain. Gina

Starry, I use comfrey, elecampagne, plantain, lavender, rosemary, eucalyptus, mugwort, and I use lavender eo, rosemary eo, tea tree eo for the salve. The muscle, joint bar I make a basic creamy lotion bar and use lavender, rosemary, eucalyptus, cinnamon, clary sage essential oils. You can see them on my web site if you want it just email me privately and I will send you the address. I am working on adding recipes to my site.

I have a question.

When making salve do you have to strain the infused oil? Couldn't one just

leave in the herb or root??

I realize it may be a bit messy but I don't want to leave out any good stuff

Thanks,

Jamie
