Guest guest
Sorcy, I am sad to hear one of your dear friends didn't/doesn't want to live with this desease. I am glad you are able to give her support. My stepdaughter is Bipolar, and I have been with her on her extreme highs and extreme lows. The number 1 thing we can and must do, is support and not judge. Unfortunutely, I dont think there are many herbs for this, but I will check and send what I find. Looked in the past for them. I do know, that most Bipolar people can live a normal life " with " medications, but it is VERY difficult to keep them on them. They stop the meds as soon as they start tofeel better because they think they dont need to take them anymore. This is very common. 60 to 8% of Bipolar people are iddicted to something, (alcohol, drugs, etc.). I will send some info. for you to keep that might help, k? Although a specific genetic link to bipolar disorder has not been found, studies show that 80 to 90 % of those who suffer from bipolar have relatives with some form of depression. It is also possible that people may inherit a tendency to develop the illness, which can then be triggered by environmental factors such as distressing life events. Sorcy, you can always email me, and I can find info for you, or give you personal experiences I shared with my stepdaughter, who also wont take meds at this time. Take good care and have a great day.
