Guest guest
Penny, how do you keep ants out of your compost? I tried that , and my worms and compost of nice scraps(all veggie and fruit, coffee grounds etc) was invaded by red ants when we lived over on the east coast. So I haven't tried it again. I checked on my worms, that I had imported, and the ants were stinging them to death. I felt sooooo bad. Thats why I never tried it again. Maybe you know a way to do it so the ants stay out? If you contact 'gardens alive'"www.GardensAlive.com"they have some great fertilizers ., I make my own compost by putting all my waste into a Trash Can withholes in th bottom so the worms can get up into the trash cans. Thisproduces very good compost. You can make your own pesticide by mixing GARLIC , ALOE VERA,CAYENNE in water and add SOAP to the solution..................Love
