Penny, we have put 125 fingerlingTilapia in our landlady's pond here. When we move into a dairy house down the road about 7 miles, we plan to put them into barrels and take as many as possible with us. They eat the pond crap off the bottom and sides of the pond, then you begin to feed them. We started feeding them too soon and a green scum came over the pond, so we had to stop and let them eat it. When the water clears, its time to start feeding the fish.(floating fish food)

Dear elaine, This is a very interesting Page. Were you interested in farming fish for your own use? Have you done it?.. why I am so interested is because of the amount of hormones, chemicals and antibiotics that are being fed tothe fish we buy in the supermarket in the large fish farms.
