Guest guest
Hey everyone, I'm grinning from ear to ear because my husband, the high blood pressure case (remember?) came back from having a stress test at the cardiologist's office saying that the doc didn't know why he (my husband) was even there, because his BP and heart were just fine <grin> In 2 weeks his BP went from 148/106 to 116/83 and still dropping. He quit caffeine entirely and is taking cayenne (2 teaspoons a day), 3-4 cloves of garlic a day and 1000 mg of magnesium daily. He does occasionally whine about all the stuff he has to remember to take, but then I remind him that it's better than BP meds and a heart attack ;-) I told him that I'll let him drop the amounts of the dosages once his diastolic (that's the second number in the BP) is consistently below 85 for a month. It's all stress-induced (yippee for the modern world), not dietary or lack of exercise, so now I'm off to make a nervine tonic and work on some relaxation techniques . . . Thanks for your help and support -- just wanted to give you another anecdote for when folks ask about how safe and effective this kooky stuff is, that we do! Peace, Laura
Guest guest
I'm already on magnesium but looks like I'll be stopping at the health food store on the way home and getting cayenne plus garlic. OK, folks, how much and how often? - Anna herbal remedies , mamalaura@e... wrote: > Hey everyone, > > I'm grinning from ear to ear because my husband, the high blood pressure > case (remember?) came back from having a stress test at the > cardiologist's office saying that the doc didn't know why he (my > husband) was even there, because his BP and heart were just fine <grin> > > In 2 weeks his BP went from 148/106 to 116/83 and still dropping. Guest guest
Dragon Snot is the name of Doc's wonderful nutritional mixture. One of his patients dubbed it that hehe! It is because it is not loaded with colors and other artificials - it is green. Plus when you add an egg and some omega oil the texture gets a bit slimey Blend it with some juice and it is almost tasteless. Janet - Anna L. Guest guest
They are cayenne. They are preferred because they have the highest heat index (really hot peppers). This means they are more potent medicinally than any other. Janet - gayekyc1 herbal remedies Monday, July 07, 2003 6:40 PM Re: [herbal remedies] Re: Happy Blood Pressure News!
