Dear Joannie,

Checking Mrs Grieves I noticed that Artemesia " Powies Castle " or

Feathery Wormwood is not mentioned - is this an American Wormwood?

Have you had any experience with it?.............Love Penny

yikes again...never heard of it...this is a variety name and it sounds like

an ornamental, though...do you have a species or reference for where you got

this name?

I will see what I can find..but I need to know the species before I can

really comment. ;-/ Joanie

I'm not Joanie, as you know <g> BUT in one of my books it says

Artemesia Powis Castle is " probably " a hybrid of A. absinthium

(wormwood) and A. arborescens (tree wormwood). The book also says there

are 300 species of artemesia (which also includes tarragon,

southernwood, sweet wormwood (sweet annie). There is no mention of

American Wormwood. Were you looking for growing experience or medicinal

use experience? ...hope this helps some...............Joan
