Thanks so much for this article. It was very informative, despite all the stuff I SHOULD know about the disease - I've had it since I was a young kid.

I've wanted to go herbal but it really wouldn't be practical or too useful because I'm on some fairly heavy-duty pills and doseages (and doing really well with them, thank you :)). I am hoping that when in another fiftenn years or so, the doseages will be down and herbal solutions will be enough.

The problem with chemical drugs is that the drugs and doses need to be changed frequently - sometimes within 3 weeks - because they just stop working. It's very maddening to try and find a combination that works, because as soon as I do, it's good for a month or two, maybe, and then it stops working as effectively as it did. I am hoping that once I get off the strong chemical drugs, if that is possible (I won't die if it's not; it'd just be nice) that the herbal remedies won't fluctuate like this.

Anyone ever have any luck with (Bach) flower essences, by the way?

Depression medications along with other meds. can build a tolerance in

our system. Mine did also. I rotated on three different SSRIs. I know

I have said this, but take your time on this, its important.

I havnt tried the Bach flowers except Whtie chestnut and rescue remedy

for sleep, (which is the major problem and depression second) and they

werent strong enough. BUT, it might work for you. Hang in there.

Take good care.

Love,

Renee and Jerry

Dear Renee,

It is because of this tolereance that I do not want to stay on the meds. I

am hoping to ween myself off of them before I am out of these refills-3 left

of 30 each good for one month.

GOd Bless

Kathy
