Guest guest
Dear Elaine, Oak Galls are the strongest astringents in the plant kingdom. they are used by me and others in the Tooth and Gum Formula (see files). Most herbalists use oak bark as an alternative but it is NOT as good. I have even seen deodorants in the Health Food store that use Oak Galls..... The Florida Oak has the BEST Oak Galls so, as I presume you live in Florida, search a little - if you are near me I will show you some on the tree. Ihave a tree near me that has a few left and I leave them on there just to show people....Love Penny (p.s. if you look under Oak in Mrs Grieves - she writes about Oak Galls)
