Guest guest
Does anyone know why an individual's tongue would become discolored--black? We've eliminated the obvious such as food dyes. My daughter is pregnant and very close to term. She is still on bed rest due to high blood pressure but last night she noticed her tongue had a partial black coating. She brushed, gargled, and swished but the discoloration is still present. Any ideas what we may be dealing with here? Cynthia

I think the benefit will be two fold...blood pressure stability and cleansing. She needs assurance that this much garlic should be OK and should not have a negative affect on the baby. Are there any risks? Cynthia

Guest guest
I had this problem once about 2 years ago..my lips were outlined in black too...I never knew why..it went away overnight, and I have been offered many possible answers (kidney and liver diminished functioning among them), but none that solved it in my mind..if I find the answers i was offered i will post them, though... I should add that I was in a period of emotional shock and physical exhaustion..after my house was burned down, I moved in to help an abusive " friend " with a broken leg, and then ended up here taking care of an ornery post-stroke father who would get up and do dangerous things if I ever fell asleep...my diet really stank, as I was too stressed to eat much more than nuts and berries, and I drank coffee with chocolate and nutmeg...I think the later gives the clue for me, though...I think I was undergoing a detox...what does your daughter eat and drink? these things can provide clues before you dig deeper...Joanie >Does anyone know why an individual's tongue would become discolored--black? >We've eliminated the obvious such as food dyes. Guest guest
Ooooo, very possible she has an internal infection that needs to be addressed immediately. Suggest she start taking Garlic (up to 8 cloves) every day. This should handle it quickly. Take one of the Garlics at night time and with a little organic olive oil, use it as a suppository.
