Guest guest
> They are so hard to get I used regular (thanks goddess) to practice. I just wanted to see if they would soften. They did not. And as I strongly suspect that tiny hard as rock seeds do NOT let go of kaboozlee, I will try powdering next, I thought. Course, one could always spoon the stuff, but at any rate, the idea is to make it dissolved/concentrated to make it work fast..... Sorcy, In order to extract the medicinal qualities from the " real thing " you have to harvest the IMMATURE seed cases. Once they dry out and get crispy (like you would use to put poppyseeds in cake or something) the alkaloids are mostly bound, so you're not going to get the full potential of the seeds. Once you get your little poppy patch going <grin> harvest the immature seed cases, after they fill out but while they're still green, and boil them up. I guess you could tincture them, but from everything I've read, the active principles are water soluble as long as the seed case isn't mature yet. Happy poppy-ing!
