Guest guest
Okay, We talked about pets and hormonal changes once they are " fixed " . What about women who have a tibual ligation- do they have problems even though they still have their ovaries??? June
Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I was just thinking of this topic only last night. I had a tubal ligation 2 years ago and was wondering if it affected your menopause? I'll let you in on an embarrassing assumption - when I knew I was going to have the procedure I thought I was going to wave my cycles bye bye. What a major let down when I found out that they were going to continue. Air-head!! lol love and light Linda (glad to be back whilst still doing the mummy-school holiday thang) >Okay, >We talked about pets and hormonal changes once they are " fixed " . >What about women who have a tibual ligation- do they have problems >even though they still have their ovaries??? >June > > _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Here is what I know from experience. A tubal ligation is just tube tying and that is it. stops eggs from getting to uterus.. OK so everything still works the same including monthly cycles and hormones. no difference with menopause. OK I had a partial hysterectomy. took uterus and cervix but left ovaries. at age 26 (many moons ago) what I have found is that I still have the monthly hormonal changes and surges but just without the PMS and the monthly cycle. I am now 42 and still no menopausal symptoms. For me it has been a lifesaver. Due to some violence in my past I was badly torn and scarred and that made my monthly very painful and ugly and also made (you more sensitive ones cover your ears) and sexual experience very uncomfortable. But I am happy to say that for the last 16 years I have been happy and healthy and have re-become the wild and woolly blonde/redhead I was back in college.
