Guest guest
Spilanthes Acmellia is commonly called Tothache Plant. It is from South America and has a funny little flower that looks a little like agreen tooth with a red tip. Made as a tincture it synergises effectively with Echinacea . It has high levels of alkylamides similar to those found in Echinacea. It is a prophylactic against malaria. It fights herpes sores and tonifies the gums. It is a potent sialogogue. The only place that I know that stocks it is Horizon Herbs at http://www.chatlink.com/~herbseed Buying their Catalogue is as good as buying a new Herbal Book as Rico rsearches each plant as well as Mrs Grieves does, but he also has the first hand experience of growing it. I thoroughly recommend his Nursery if you want to have your own Herb Garden..... I found the Toothache Plant quite by accident in an out of the way Nursery, bought it but only found out its attributes by trial and error. THEN found Horizon Herbs!!!! I now use it for any tooth ache, infection etc...............Love Penny
