Guest guest
Kathe, I do let mine sit for 8 weeks or longer. I always have a batch of some tincture going all the time so I dont run out. I have my female mixture, liver detox mixture, right now Echinacea is going for winter colds, I also have valerian, kava kava, chamomile (I put this one in tea to make a bit stronger effect) and to many more to list. These are the most used ones we use here in our house. I always have herbal oils infusing as well as the tinctures I have a pretty large herb cupboard (all the cupboards abover my bar counter top) Its a thing that keeps growing as I get to know more herbs and have tried them out on myself with their uses. Right now its the Essiac tea I am waiting on the herbs to arrive. My house is nothing but a big herbal medicine chest lol Its addicting and well worth the research and trials. CORIANDRUM (Coriander, Cilantro) SEED. Tincture [1:5, 65% alcohol] 10- 20 drops. Seeds chewed as needed. STATUS : C RUMEX CRISPUS (Yellow Dock) ROOT. Tincture [Fresh Root, 1:2, Dry Root, 1:5, 50% alcohol], 30-75 drops, to 3X a day. Capsules, #00, 1-2 to 2X a day. Use with moderation in pregnancy. In all cases it works best in sub-laxative doses. STATUS : W/C Good luck with your tincture! " Hawk "
