Guest guest
Not to drag up old news, and if I am too redundant, delete this, lol The 1:5 method doesn't work for me, because if the herb swells alot, you need several ounces more. If it doesnt, thats fine. So, I have to add more vodka to most of the tinctures bec. they swelled. Heres my question and comment; I decided to do the 1:5 method when putting together, and I will put more vodka in as needed. (would like to do a 1:4, but its not enough liquid) All my tinctures (about 15 or so) are all settled now, and I have about 1/2 inch of liquid (vodka) floating on top of herbs. That includes tinctures of roots, flowers, bark, (all of them). Will they all be the same strength? Or correct strenght? Or do potent ones like willowbark need more liquid? I thought to make them all equal regarding the liquid on top. Ok, I am doing better though. I made them all as separates like you said, and THEN mixing them together. I guess my husband needs to build me a shelf or cabinet for all the bottles, lol Then to find a spot in this 12 x 60 foot home to put it, lol Thanks Take good care.
