Guest guest
Cynthia (I hope I got the name right), I also had high blood pressure with my first pregnancy. For me it was the first sign of pre-eclampsia ... some folks still say toxemia.... The best thing she can do is follow doctors orders even if she is feeling fine. I never felt sick just puffy. I had severe edema in my hands and feet. I was also encouraged to lay on my left side to help the blood flow to the fetus easier. To keep busy in bed I cross-stitched, wrote out thank you notes for gifts I received at the baby shower and pre addressed all the birth announcements. The hardest part was staying laying down - I got soooo bored. But the end results were worth it. God Luck MB
