Guest guest
My daughter has just been placed on bed rest until the end of her pregnancy (1 month) or until her blood pressure can be lowered and controlled. She is 21 years old, Rh negative, and has gained approximately 45 lbs. She has planned a homebirth but if her pressure doesn't drop, her midwives will insist on a hospital delivery. Anyone have suggestions/experience that might offer her some hope for lowering/controlling the blood pressure? She has no previous history of high blood pressure. BTW her pressure was 154/92...her baseline pressure was 105/60. Cynthia
Guest guest
Hi Cynthia, My blood pressure suddenly went sky high (200/110) about 5 months ago. I was frantic and tried just about everything, and I cut out every single food that supposedly causes this problem. Only 2 weeks ago, I found the answer, and within 3 days my blood pressure had dropped to 150/90. This is the magic remedy: " Tensionorm " by Biodynamics (4x daily) + Melissa cupro culta, herba D2 tincture 15 drops 2x daily The composition of " Tensionorm " is as follows: potassium citrate 277.77mg, magnesium L-aspartame 250mg, Crataegus oxyacantha 100mg, Tataxacum officinalis 100mg, Passiflora incarnata 50mg, Petroselinum incarnata 50mg, Calcium ascorbate-magnesium- potassium-zinc 35.37mg, vitamin C 30mg 50%, Coleus forskolii 25mg. Guest guest
DIET- what has she been eating? How is her stress level? No salt or salty foods- which I really craved when I was pregnant. My last pregnancy I was on bed rest from 14 weeks until I went into labor.Keep her busy so she doesn't obsess about the blood pressure. As much of a pain as it was to drag my pregnant butt to the bathroom hourly, I managed to drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily. That kicked my kidneys into gear and I lost a lot of the fluid/swelling I had been bothered with. Then I beefed up my preggo tea to a decoction, 3 to 4 times a day -- red clover, nettles, dandelion root and leaf, red raspberry leaf. Just as insurance, I also got some magnesium tablets and took 500 mg a day. My BP went back to near normal in 3 days, and as a pleasant side effect, my back didn't hurt as much :-) I hope your daughter does well and has an easy time of it. Take care, Laura
Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who responded with experiences, suggestions, and ideas regarding my daughter's pregnancy and high blood pressure. We are increasing the water, adding magnesium, and I'm off to get a few herbs to add to her raspberry leaf tea. Will keep you updated. Big Hugs and smiles, Cynthia
Guest guest
Dear Cynthia, Without seeing what her diet is or talking to her directly about her lifestyle, the only advice I can offer is for her to do lots of juicing (veggies and fruit) with a good juicer such as a Champion. That plus a lot of garlic and Cayenne will bring any blood pressure down.
