I've never had a problem using Echinacea with Astragalus and do so all the time and so do my clients. It's on my basic program.

However you do need to take a break from high potency Echinacea. 2 weeks is OK up to 3 weeks max at a time. A good analogy is that Echinacea ignites your immune system like a starter motor starts your car. Once the engine is running, you need to stop turning the key to "start" or you'll burn out your starter motor. Same goes for Echinacea if it is a high quality potent formula.

On an incurables or Total Body Cleanse program, it would be three weeks on and one week off, three weeks on ...

On a regular program two weeks should suffice to handle whatever your aiming at.

Love,

Ian

[herbal remedies] Astragalus & Echinacea

I plugged this from another list, can anyone tell me why this is (or isn't?We use it at the same time, and I always use echinacea..... :( this justdoesn't sound right! Doc??)Sorcypouting-----------------when using Echinacea, I'll stop using Astragalus and use an ounce/day ofEchinacea, instead (they are mutually exclusive to each other). Prolonged use (overtwo weeks) of Echinacea is bad for the spleen.Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health.
