Lip Infection - Tough Love

Ohhh, welllll, I know that's a tough one and even though I know you are somewhat joking <grin> it is actually a very good question.

I guess the best analogy I can think of is the case of an insane person or a person who specializes in destruction (these types really do exist). Sometimes we have family members who are totally, stark staring mad. Whether it is a mother, sister, father, brother, or just good ole uncle Ernie, we can not allow these people to do damage to ourselves or our loved ones and friends. Even though I'm not overly fond of AA, they came up with a very good expression which I like and think is applicable here. It's called "Tough Love". Sometimes you have to kick a loved one out of the nest for the good of the rest of the nest. Sometimes you just have to say "NO". Sometimes, it is the only solution. You just have to remove that person from your environment or they'll take you down with them for they are hell bent on self destruction as well. Just because a person is drowning, it doesn't help them if you drown with them and it certainly doesn't help you to do so. Usually with these types; you, me, and many others have tried to help them to survive, but it just continues to be a case of beating your head against a brick wall as they are bent on succumbing. They truly won't let you help them. You argue to create and survive; they argue to destroy or succumb. You argue to fix things up and make things better, and they argue to neglect and let things go to hell in a hand basket. Look back on your life and you'll spot the times when you were connected to such people.

Sometimes you just have to carry on without these people, even when you love them. "Tough Love", it's a good expression.

Love,

Hey Sorcers,

Sounds like you've done about everything you could possibly do herbally.

How about mentally? Have you been going through any stress lately?

Are you connected to any negative types who are bringing you down?

Maybe you need to look at the surrounding influences in your life and need to clean house, or perhaps there's some jerk who is putting negative doo doo into your life and you need to tell them to take a hike, get lost, aufveeterzane (sp?), hasta la vista baby, etc.

Just an idea hon. Take a look.

Much love,

Ian

[herbal remedies] Lip infection - urgh...help please?

Ian (et all), if you have a few minutes, I wanted to ask your advise.... remember in late spring I had this problem with the 'split lip?' Itsreturning with a vengeance, and the cream doesn't help anymore. It startswith a tiny vertical slit on the lower lip, swollen and down to the blood, and obviously is contagious as this time it duplicated when it opened. Itisn't herpes simplex(since the cream for that doesn't work... my one andonly concession to a chemical product, as it is so terribly painful withoutand this is the only thing that helps fast, for me at least), there is noblister and the pain level/debth is different. I tried every oil andpotion there is, in any possible combination, even t & g and the 'hated'habanero tinc (outch), nothing seems to help. I don't have access to aDr/lab even if I had the guts to have a sample snipped off my lips <lol>I take all my goodies, drown in echinacea, astralagus, green teas etc andanything else I can think of, but this time it won't budge. It hurts so damn much...... any ideas dearhearts?Hugs, Sorcy, sniffling patheticallyFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
