When chopping it up to dry, I skin off only the prickles. You could also just deprickle the cactus leaves by using a pair of pliers, but I prefer using a potato peeler.

 

Slice and dice finely and when thoroughly dried either outside in the sun or by placing under a fan somewhere in your AZ airconditioned house, place in a high speed coffee grinder and powder.

Shoot, I thought I had info on medicinal uses or something, all it is a

few food recipes and how to grow/propagate it. I don't have any and

probably never will so didn't pay close enough
