As usual, I'm probably opening a can of worms here (usual for me :) buttttttttt I use only alcohol and/or apple cider vinegar when making a tincture and never glycerin.

Why?

Both alcohol and cider vinegar are excellent catalysts in aiding the body's assimilation of the herbal nutrients where glycerin is weak as a catalyst and therefore slows absorbtion and is thusly less effective.

My solution for those who are alcohol intolerant is to pour the tincture into a cup of boiling water which blows off the alcohol and then pour in a tablespoon of Apple Cider vinegar to add the catalyst back in.

Your witness Mr. Mason :)

Love,

Ian (a wonderin who's gonna ask about an allergy to Apple Cider Vinegar :^)
