Hi, it is part of the Female Formula that I made after advice on this

list. Corn silk is a mild diuretic and used for urinary problems -

cystitis, etc. You can make a tea of it too but I used some in the

tincture. I would say it is in the Female Formula as older women are

more susceptible to cystitis although I have never had the

problem............Joan

O.K. I have another corn silk question. Now that I have my corn silk

dried out, how do I store it so it won't get moldy?

Thanks,

Kathe

If it is *completely* dry, it shouldnt get moldy if stored in a plastic jar or tightly sealed bag =)

Hi Kathe:

It is recommended to store your herbs.. in this case, corn silk, in

a dark colored glass jar.. if you done have a colored glass jar..

use a plain glass jar and paint it black or.. and store the herbs in

a dark cool place.. coolest spot in the house.. but not in the

fridge.. label it and date it..
