Guest guest
Chaparral tea is supposed to be a big help for ruematism. It reduces inflamation. I know I had bursitis really bad, so that I could not hold anything in my right hand. I started with one teaspoon to a quart of water, and stuck to it though it is really bad tasting, and after six weeks of this I had only a fraction of the problem, and after a while I no longer had any problem at all. Guest guest
Dear Penny: Chapparal is extremely difficult to cutivate in a garden. However, it grows in the desert, and is extremely common all over the southwestern US, and there are relatives of this plant in a lot of other parts of the world also. Once you identify it, it is easy to distinguish by its very distinctive smell. It can be purchased, or if you like I can mail you a small sample, as I picked a lot before I left the desert. It is so extremely common, and is actually good for a number of problems, I wonder if there was not a good reason it was made in such abundance. The odd thing, which you alluded to, is that the US government is doing its best to prevent folks from using this herb. I have even read of the classification of some minor differences in supposed sub-species being classified as " endangered " so that the picking of them would be grounds for prosecution. I am baffled by this, as there is so much of it, probably in the range of hundreds of thousands or more acres of it growing wild.
