Guest guest
I was just curious cause when one gets past forty, the " good life " can be a little trying at times. I have to plan my chocolate escapades with great care and timing. For instance: Next Saturday is my 54th birthday and I'm planning on making my Mother's absolutely incredible Chocolate Sauce for one bowel of ice cream that I'm allowing myself. That's my chocolate quota for the month and I'll still get up the next day, run 6 miles and drink a 1/2 gallon of water to ensure my system is flushed out. If I ate anymore than that, I'd be as big as a house and in terrible physical condition. I have to ignore bread and any cooked grains completely or the same phenomenon occurs. Being originally Canadian, I have a penchant for Pizza and Beer eh. Until the age of 40 I could handle any amount of the two easily. Between the age of 40 and 45 I went from 161 pounds up to 225 pounds and was thinking of changing my name to Roly Poly, until I had the realization that my diet needed changing and that Pizza and Beer were a thing of the past. I refuse to totally give up chocolate, but realize that it must be a completely controlled experience. I've turned it into a sort of ritual that I look forward to all month. A game I play with myself which I thoroughly enjoy. If I've learned anything in the past decade of studying natural healing, it is the fact that GOOD ORGANIC NUTRITION is the basic building block to physical health. In conjunction with leading a stress-free life, total health can be attained. This is by no means all the facets (herbs, etc.) that need to be addressed, but getting stress out of your life and getting on a great nutritional program is the foundation to any health building program.
