Dear All,

I apologize for not confronting the Mental Illness issue and the little "religion" barbs earlier. My entire week (day & night) has been absorbed by my thesis (all 47 pages and 8,000 words worth) and I had to put my handling of these pieces of "negativity" on the back burner. The thesis was turned in yesterday and I can now devote some attention back to my normal life.

The purpose of this group is outlined in the description of the list when you sign into it and it is as follows:

"This is a list whereby all who are interested in healing with herbs and natural methods can voice their opinions and share their views.

The predominant theme is "Herbal Remedies" & "Natural Healing". This list is a forum whereby people with any kind of physical problem can get their questions answered, and can take responsiblility for their own health using natural methods. It is also a forum for herbalists to share their successes.

You are responsible for the condition you are in, good or bad. You are where you are today because of decisions you made in the past. Where you will be in the future and what shape you find yourself in, is completely dependant upon the decisions you make today."

Those of you who know me, know that I'm always willing to help, and I spent over 3 hours of my time when I created Amanda's Natural program for her. I am not going to get into any big "make-wrong" over this whole thing or get into answering allegations or defense of Natural Healing, however I will do what it takes to keep the list on topic as delineated above. I also never tolerate under any circumstances "Religion Bashing" or any covert "digs" against anyone's religion and my firm rule has been that any who decide to break this rule are banned without recourse.

Regardless of her justifications (just got back on her Prozac, etc.) I make no exceptions, therefore I've banned Amanda from the list. If she feels this is injust, she may contact me privately by e-mail and we'll discuss it.

There are a few others who jumped on Amanda's band wagon and either missed my point altogether, or chose to miss it on purpose. I am not even going to single them out at this time, but have switched their postings over to being moderated for the time being.

I would like to end off by saying that, there is such a thing as mental illness, and I repeat, I never said there wasn't. I simply said that ADD and ADHD were not mental illnesses.

I am fully willing to have a discussion on mental illness or on "diseases" that are labelled mental illnesses which are really physical illnesses. Just because the effects of "ADD & ADHD" which are physical illnesses, have behavioral phenomena does not mean that they are "mental illnesses". They are not. They are physical in origin and submit easily to Nutritional and Bio-chemical solutions. I have a ton of data to back up this position and a fair amount of experience in successfully handling these things.

Love,

Ian

There are treatments for the sicknesses you mentioned. They are spoken of in

slightly different terms in accutreatment. Dryness and/ excess of cold or fluids

in imbalance can cause mental illness. Treatment is similar to treating any

ailment. Conception vessel is sometimes important for metal illness. Treatment

varies and a consultation with a practicionor is required before recomendations

for treatment.

I know someone that I would like to help. She has a bipolar

disorder with some extreme paranoya, etc...

Any help, ideas or resources would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
