Guest guest
Dear Pat, I have posted the tincturing data - here is the Deodorant Recipe....... I needed no urging to reprint this article. I would like, however, some feedback from anyone who makes it.... The only problem I have with this Deodorant is that if you put something white on before it dries on your skin, the fabric goes yellowish.... Will wash off though. Wait for it to dry before you put something on.... Also, I did not use the Grape Seed Extract as it was too expensive. I have seen witch hazel WITH grape seed extract in it but it also had other additives. I made the sage tincture myself and figured that it would keep the mixture from going off. I have used it for about 10 months with no complaints from family or co-workers (I go from florida heat to chilly air conditioning several times a day) NATURAL DEODORANT;- 1 ounce sage tincture in alcohol form 1 ounce witch hazel extract 10-20 drops essential oil blend. Use sage, coriander, or camomile to fight bacteria and add another one that has a fragrance you like.(Iused peppermint and sage essential oils) 5-10 drops of grapefruit seed extract - a natural antibacterial agent, here used as a preservative. Mix together in a two ounce spray bottle. shake well before using (each time- although mine did not separate at all) Store in a cool, dry place. Should keep for a year (mine is in my bedroom which is presently at a Florida 80+) This came from Mindy Green of the Herb Research Foundation, from National Health Magazine. ..............................................Sage is also an anti-aging Herb so here is to the youngest armpits in the World!!!!..Best Wishes Penny
