Guest guest
Hi Kayte, You need to get a little less wrapped up in the significance of it all, as we are not talking Rocket Science here, and your question is impossible to answer. One would need to have a humongous lab, know the exact size, number, micron thickness, and weight of the eggs (shells) used, to determine exactly how much Calcium would be in the mixture. From a technical aspect, all you need to know is that the acid in the lemon juice leaches the Calcium (and other minerals such as Magnesium, Silicon, etc.) from the egg shells to form an organic compound of Calcium Citrite, Calcium Citrate, etc etc which are completely assimilable not only because of their chemical constitutions, but also because the enzymes from both the eggs and the lemon juice are left in place. One of the beautiful things about natural healing is that it is SIMPLE!!! It is modern day medicine, the MDs, Psychiatrists, and the pharmaceuticals who have made the entire area of health and healing absolutely complex. Learning how to be well is easy if one keeps it simple and natural. I have heard of, and seen, hundreds of people get well by taking full responsibility for their own health by using herbs with a natural nutritional healing program. I would never tell you to mix lemon juice with a cucumber unless I'd tried it myself and had gotten some benefit from it (makes a good salad by the way). I've taken extremely large doses of herbs that have made some people shake their heads, and have never hurt myself by doing so. Most people think that their tolerance level is about 4 feet off the ground; I think it's closer to 400 feet off the ground. The proof of the puddin is in the makings. DOES IT WORK ??? This is the only question we should ask ourselves. To hell with the FDA, the AMA, and the pharmaceuticals. They are only interested in the almighty buck. If the FDA was really on the side of the American public, Genetically engineered food would never have been allowed on the streets in the first place and food irradiation would have been outlawed the moment the concept had been conceived. If you and your family want to get and/or stay healthy, go organic, and learn as much as you can about herbs, vitamins and their uses. Stay away from the complexities, keep it simple and you'll do OK. The simplest program I ever heard of was used by George Malkmus who ate RAW, ORGANIC VEGETABLES, GRAINS, SEEDS, NUTS, FRUITS and drank DISTILLED WATER ONLY!!! He cured himself of cancer and several other diseases with just the above raw foods program and nothing else. You can't get much simpler than that. Love, Ian PS. The Lemon Egg is a wonder. Try it, you'll see. It even tastes good. Katherine Sisler wrote: Katherine Sisler <kayte I know this might be an impossible question but how much calcium do you think is in it. And how it this true? I don't know much about science and nutrition...you could tell me to do the same with a cucumber and I'd not know you were pulling my leg.Kayte -----Original Message----- Ian Shillington [ian_shillington] Wednesday, March 29, 2000 9:15 PM Herbal Remedies [herbal remedies] Lemon Egg - The best natural source of organic Calcium Ian Shillington <ian_shillington Dear All, I've been getting a tremendous response from my last weekly newsletter (snail mail) on the subject of Lemon Egg. The complete article is reproduced for y'all below. Enjoy! This one is a doozy! Love, Ian LEMON EGG I have been studying and practicing Natural Healing for several years now, and one of my favorite pastimes is to collect all the natural recipes and remedies I can find. Recently, I came upon a real gem and thought you'd like to know about it. About Cal-Mag For decades, the need for Calcium and Magnesium in the growing and maintaining of a healthy body has been well established, but a major problem has been how to absorb these nutrients, especially from inorganic sources. The wrong kind of Calcium and/or poor assimilation can actually cause arthritis and many other degenerative diseases. There is only one inorganic Cal-Mag formula to date that I know of that works. All the rest are junk and actually injure and overtax the body. Those solid Calcium tablets are absolutely, positively useless. Until recently, my wife Valorie and I had been content to get our Calcium and Magnesium from the organic foods we eat and then this little bonus dropped in my lap one afternoon while studying for my Naturopathic Doctor degree. Lemon Egg The Ultimate Organic Calcium Supplementation 1. Carefully place whole, clean, uncooked, uncracked, organic eggs in a clean wide-mouth jar. 2. Cover the eggs with freshly squeezed organic lemon juice (concentrated lemon juice is pasteurized and should never be used as a substitute). 3. Cover the jar loosely and place it in the refrigerator. A few times during the day, gently - very gently - agitate the liquid in the jar. As the Calcium from the shells is leached by the lemon juice, bubbles will appear around the eggs. Approximately 48 hours later, when the bubbling has stopped, carefully remove the eggs from the jar and be sure not to break the egg membranes. Replace the lid tightly on the jar containing the liquid and shake the mixture. You now have "LEMON EGG". I love to drink it straight or mix 2 oz in my SuperFood shake. It is the best source of organic Calcium I know of. Much love, Ian Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2.
