Guest guest
I sent this to Ian and he said it was appropriate for the list, so here it goes. If anyone wants more details feel free to ask. Kim Ian, I wanted to thank you for your kind words and share with you about one of my special children, the first one we adopted. His name is now Joshua. When he came to me he was 6 months old and vegetative and never walk. He had no muscle tone and very little brain activity. I have all the medical terms memorized but won't bore you with those. The medical profession said if he lived he would always be a vegetable. (He came with 2 machines to help him breathe) We Immediately started to make his formula from organic soybeans 3 times a week and bought a goat for the fresh milk. We did this because he would vomit every time he ate. First we had to teach him to suck on a nipple (previous foster parents cut the top off the nipple because he was so weak) Then I made his baby food from scratch as well. In addition I supplemented him with immune building herbs and brain building herb and supplements. Needless the say the medical profession knew nothing of this. When his adoption was final we took him back the MD's and they could not believe it was the same child! He is now 3 1/2 and can load his own programs on the computer and loves to sing and is walking and running all over! The agency that worked with his physical therapy had to disqualify him because he was " normal " . I wanted to share this with you because you love children and you are very knowledgeable. We currently have 5 children (1 adopted) and are going forward to adopt other medically fragile children. I believe I have been given a gift to help these kids and am eager to do so. If you have any additional knowledge that would be of help in my helping a sick child, I would love to network with you or be directed to other resources that could help our family in this endeavor, they would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time. I chose not to put on list as I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate, thank you again, Kim
