Guest guest
I have done quite a bit of research in this area and have come to the conclusion that there is no such " disease " . If you read the qualifying symptoms of this " great psychiatric disease " , I'm sure you'd find everyone on this list meets at least one of the criteria and could then be labeled as such. Let he who has never thrown a spitball or let his attention wander on the first day of spring while sitting in a classroom cast the first stone. In my research, I found that " MOST " kids who are " hyper " are also consuming large quantities of WHITE SUGAR, AND WHITE FLOUR in the foods they eat. CHOCOLATE is also one of the main offenders. The sad part is that many of these children are very bright and have been put on psych drugs like Ritalin and their lives are being destroyed. Then again, the psychs also invented a mental disorder called " Rhinotelexomania " which consumed 100's of thousands of taxpayers dollars for research in this area. Best regards, Ian PS. " Rhinotelexomania " is the picking of one's nose, and the research included " what percentage used what finger " & the fact that " 2% did it for sexual pleasure " . Guest guest
Kim, Thank you very much for your post. I tend to get a little hot under the collar in this area as it involves children and their well-being (I love and adore kids). You are absolutely right about the essential fatty acids. I could have written a few more reams on all the good nutritious foods and herbs that could be used in place of the cokes, candy bars, etc. etc. but just didn't have the time. Rusty added a few good nutritional points to her post as well. Ian Kim & Greg Lemieux wrote: > " Kim & Greg Lemieux " <lemieux > > I would like to cautiously add to Ian's post if that is acceptable.
