Guest guest
i started alternate day water fasting last friday. i like it a lot. it brings a lot of awareness, appreciation and discipline into my eating habits. just a wonderful light and clear feeling on the days i am fasting. the voice of temptation is the only thing that makes it somewhat of a challenge. blessings to all... miriam
Guest guest
Thanks for sharing. I would like to hear more about your experiences, if you'd like to tell us more. What brought you to the conclusion that this is right for you and how long do you plan to keep it up? Guest guest
hi rachel inspired by the idea of 'breatharianism' i decided to venture from my high percentage and at times exclusive raw food diet into the space of non eating. in search for most optimal health and wellbeing and also curiosity for what fasting holds in store trying to free myself a little from the fangs of eating that in my life been having a strong hold on me. i don't have much experience yet, since i just started. it feels like my breathing is expanding and it also feels like my awareness is shifing from an internal focus to an external one... i'm feeling more connected to my outer reality which seems to bring little spurs of bliss at times. this is an open-ended experience, wherever my path may take me. i am interested in your and others personal fasting experiences also, if you feel like sharing !! miriam , Rachel D <faithful2finish wrote: > > Thanks for sharing. Guest guest
Hi Miriam Your post was inspiring. I understand about the "fangs of eating" having a strong hold. I have ventured into fasting from time to time, both with juice and with water, for varying lengths of time. Although each experience has been worthwhile, I think what worked best for me was when I was fasting one day a week. I was in the habit of it for a while and it was a good one. That is something I would like to resume. I often think about longer term water or juice fasts, but the timing never seems to be right for it (or perhaps I am just continuing to make excuses). The longest fast I have done on juice is 67 days. I know there are those who don't consider this to be fasting, and I respect everyone's right to their opinion, but I do consider it a valuable method of fasting. This was a great experience for me and I'm thankful to have had it. The longest water fast I did was 21 days. I found that to be a great experience also. The rest have been of varying lengths of time and for varying purposes. I would like to eventually take on another long-term fast, but I'm not sure when that will be.Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I would look forward to reading anything else you would like to share with us.
