Guest guest
I agree with Robert...as far as I know, sesame seeds is the highest source of calcium in natural food. I prefer eating them as tahini (ground sesame seeds). However if you were fasting, this would really be breaking the fast. So then you could look at a calcium supplement... Also dolomite powder is a good source of natural mag/calcium.. I'm unsure of what fruit or vege has high source of calcium...I do know sometimes pregnant women have cravings for ice, as their body craves extra calcium in the form of tooth enamel! Good Luck Rose ---- Helen 1/27/2008 2:22:06 AM calcium loss while fasting - any answers? What can I take to prevent depletion of calcium while fasting. This is a real issue for me. Guest guest
Dark greens generally have good calcium, in particular kale and turnip greens. Spinach is not a good source though as it is not all that bio available w/ the presence of high oxalate. Molasses is also a very good source.
