Guest guest
Hi I'm a new member and I am trying to achieve a 21 day juice fast for health reasons. I'm a Mum with a 9 and a 13 year old and live in South Australia. I'm have returned to Law school after many years absence due to illness caused by leaking amalgam fillings. I was one of those very strange cases you hear about of someone who had cancer and lost all their tumours without medical intervention. I engaged in some very heavy detoxing at this time. Now being free of cancer I am attempting a 21 day juice fast to rid myself of quite severe candida and other problems including arthritis. Being 8 days into my fast I find that I am experiencing what appears like some sort of acidosis accompanied by almost a stinging sensation through my body. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Helen I was one of those
Guest guest
Helen, Welcome to the group and thanks for sharing your story! I personally have not heard of a fast bringing on the symptoms of a stinging or acidic feeling body. It does not sound good. My concern is that you are reabsorbing toxic load into your bloodstream from your colon and it may be circulating through your body. You may soon notice skin eruptions. Are you having a bowel movement 2-3 times per day? If not I would recommend getting some senna tea, or cascara segrada, or a colonic, immedietly. I would also add some cayenne to your regiment as it boosts circulation to move stuff out of you. If you have been having the regular bowel movements I would recommend stopping your fast and switching to a raw food diet for the time being to continue the detox in a safer manner. Then later retrying a fast. Keep us posted. Guest guest
Hi Diana, I have read that grapefruit juice, cherry juice, grape juice, and celery juice are all good for healing from arthritis. I have not tried any of this, so I can't verify - just sharing what I have read. Guest guest
You're welcome. I read more about it and am considering trying out a five day grape "cure" that is supposed to reduce inflammation. It isn't a fast, though. Guest guest
Hi Ryan Thanks for the input. I have a severe leaky gut and I think that you are right about reabsorbing the toxin. While fasting I seem only to have a little runny diarrhoea. Once when I passed some faeces, I was really sick and feverish immediately before it passed. The acidy feeling has thinned out with increased water consumption. Guest guest
Hi Diana There is a 21 day vegetble juice fast that is prescribed by the Australian herbal guru for arthritis, which is a shortened version of the 42 day Breuss cancer cure. It includes beetroot juice (most of it is beetroot juice) with a smattering of carrot, celeriac, chinese radish and potato. Will dig it out and post it to this group in the near future.
