Guest guest
Hello, Yes there is a plastic container that all the pulp shoots into that you sit in the back of the machine. Its a large bulky machine, but what i do is make the juice, break it down and put everything in the dishwasher, it fills up most of the bottom rack. Pricing is much better than it used to be, i think i paid 150 for it on sale. I dont have a lot of time, so i do not get to juice everyday, i usually do it on the weekends for the whole family. If you want the pulp, buying a different machine might be the way to go, but i personally love my jack juicer.. Mushen, I will get that recipe and send it to you .... Scritches from somewhere else in michigan ... Tinasoyasee <soyasee wrote: Hi,I was thinking of getting the Jack LaLane Juicer myself. Would you give a little more detail about the pro's and con's of this juicer? What if someone likes the pulp and wants to include it in their drink? When you say it shoots all the yuckeys out the back, is there a place where this stuff goes, like a little bucket or container or something? It looked like it was a pretty good machine, but then again, I don't know anyone personally who has one, so your input is good for me to know. Thanks!Cherie from Michiganherbal remedies , christina kemp <sierras_angel wrote:>> I use the Jack LaLane juice, I like it because im not a pulp person, shoots all the yuckeys out the back. Guest guest
We have a very old Champion, like from the 1970's. Glad to hear the design has been improved, although our old one still works great. Goes to show the quality of the machine. Guest guest
Hmm. On second thought, it is an Acme juicer. Big difference. Guest guest
Can't help you, Couple. I'm anti-juice fasting. I either water-fast, which I just call " fasting. " Or I make slurries, which are super-nutritious/low cal combos of raw foods combined in my super-nuclear blender. Some people call them " smoothies, " but I don't add an dairy, so I just call them " slurries. " I never could find any research supporting the whole juice fasting regimen... not any not put out or financed by some juicer company anyway. Why not get yourself a $100 kitchen aid blender or its equivalent and go on a slurry diet? I have plenty of recipes if you are interested. If you are looking to lose weight and get your nutrition way, way up. I'd go the slurry route myself. Either way, good luck! -jim ______________________________\ ____ Looking for a deal? Guest guest
Well, I can tell you that I have a Champion. My sister has a Champion. My mother has a Champion. (No connection - all purchased separately.) None of us have had any problem with them. I used mine for an extended juice fast/cleanse years ago and plan to use it again for an upcoming juice fast/cleanse. If you are planning to juice wheatgrass you will definitely need one that is specifically intended for that purpose. Not all juicers are capable of handling it. (My Champion juicer is not.) As for the more nutrients/less yield, I have no information about that. I can't imagine that the different would be significant enough to be an issue, though. That, to me, seems like a sales gimmick to try to get you to spend more money when you don't need to. How much is "more"? How is it measured? What is the impact of the difference and what does that mean to you? My take on all this is that any juicing provides such a benefit to the body that I am not really concerned with minor differences in the yield/nutrients. It's like the difference between getting an A+ or an A++. That's just me, though. If it's important to you, then I encourage you to get all the details you need to be comfortable and satisfied with your purchase. Just remember that every manufacturer is going to tell you that their product is better than the next guy's for one reason or another and you'll have to go with your own gut feeling. Rachel "couple" <kcjonesnh To: Subject: Re: juicerSat, 01 Sep 2007 21:16:01 -0000 Sorry-I meant to type juicer. I have done a little research and am leaning towards a cyntrifical juicer with surgical steel blades. I have heard that the motor is important but thought that meant a stronger motor. Now I have read that slower motors extract more nutrients but less with a lower yield.I want to use the juicer for periodic juice fasts and maybe more. I have done numerous types of fasts and cleansing and would like to try juice. As for brand- I get a mixed signal from what I read on the internet as to what is best. I stumbled across this group and thought someone out there with experience could lead me in the right direction. Thanks
