Guest guest
"yogini_kayte" <yogini_kayte Can anyone advise me? I know my body, im not going to push it until i collapse but is there any unobvious problems I could be causing to my body by exercising fairly hard while fasting?? Hi Kayte, Though I usually continue to exercise while water fasting I definitely lower the intensity of exercise (drop from running down to a slow jog or even a moderate walk) and am very careful to listen to my body. If I get even the slightest sense that my body is uncomfortable with the pace of exercise I immediately reduce its intensity...Hope this helps and that your fast goes well. Tim ps, Have you seen Joel Fuhrman, M.D.'s "Fasting and Eating for Health?" Several of us in the group like his approach to water fasting. He has supervised the fasts of thousands of folks. Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect. Join 's user panel and lay it on us.
Guest guest
Oi Kayte, I agree to Tim about the slowing down. I usualy swim 2.000m, and ride 30Km in a stationary bike, but during water fasting I do just swimming and 1.500m a day only. It works for me... hope do have helped. Guest guest
60 olympic laps of swimming is still quite a workout while water-fasting, Elia. Very nice work! I'm more of a field sports guy, but I also never fun more than 4 miles at a pop while water fasting. I feel I could do a lot more, but I'm worried about pushing it too much. I usually use fasting as a way to heal up anyway. Something really interesting about fasting while exercising is that whenever I've been fasting for several days and lift weights, I never experience DOMS. (Delayed onset muscle soreness) I'm a competitive athlete and lift regularly and I ALWAYS experience DOMS about 24 hours after lifting. Fasting must do something with lactic acid disintegration or something. For me, that's more evidence that fasting/ketosis enhances anabolism (rebuilding of tissues/healing). It would make for an interesting research project. -jim --- Elia Regina Previato <eliareginapreviato wrote: > Oi Kayte, > > I agree to Tim about the slowing down.
