Guest guest
Hi everyone. Here's my story.... I'm a married work at home mom of 4. I have had issues with my weight my entire life and recently lost almost 30 lbs. HOWEVER, because I can't seem to beat the sweet tooth I've started gaining again. I tried a juice fast a few weeks ago and lasted 3 full days. I actually felt great. I was more patient and clear headed than ever, but on the 4th day I started feeling " confused " (I called my hairdresser " Babe " !) Anyway, I broke my fast and started feeling miserable again. I have read that a fast can be used to break sugar addictions, so I started AGAIN today. Any tips for making it over the hump? I bought a juicer and have been making my own juice. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Lynnda....I'm jealous! Cheryl
Guest guest
One thing I do is plan to stay busy during those first couple of days. Then I don't have to think about eating. Read tons!! The more you read on juice fasting, staying healthy and all the whys, the better you will do. I have no desire at all to eat sugar. I had a Blue and Gold Banquet I put on for Cub Scouting and it was a luau. I wan't even tempted to eat. We had some very yummy looking cake there also and before I would of been very to at least taste it, yet when the frosting got on my fingers from serving I was trying to find somthing to wipe them off with as I didn't even want the taste in my mouth. Have you read "Poison's in your Food"? Excellent book. Read, read, read. This will happen for you. If you made it two days last time, then shoot for 3 or 4 days and just slowly increase your fasting time. I have 2 more days before I hit my 60th day and then I will break my fast with a juicy apple. I am planning on doing a three day fast every month. Just to keep healthy. You can do it!! We are here for you and when you are having a hard time, call someone or just post it here and I am sure you will get some great support. Good luck and stay healthy.
