Guest guest
Yes! Sprouts can be dried (dehydrated) and still be potent as long as you don't dry them in a dehydrator that heats above 105*F. The reason you want to use Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice rather than the bottled is enzymes. The bottled stuff has been pasteurized (heated) and is not effective at all, with no enzymes at all = big difference. I can't answer your question on the homemade vitamin C since we're not talking rocket science here. What kind of Orange peels are you using??? Is the peel from a Navel Orange or a Valencia??? Were the oranges fully ripe or more green when picked??? Get the idea, there are too many variables to give you an answer here. Soooooooooooo, the rule of thumb is to take lots. ;-) What your body doesn't use, it'll slough off. Why can't you use bottled/pastuerized organic lemon juice in the making of the lemon egg? Any idea what the milligram would be on a tablespoon of the homemade vitamin C or 2oz of the homemade calcium? I want to make sure I am taking in enough and it is hard to tell when I don't know how much I am ingesting. peace & much happiness, Carol
Guest guest
I've been primarily using fruit juice, since I'm not a big veggie fan. I juice 2 lbs of carrots a day and throw in a sweet potato in my other juices now and then. Is that safe? Should I be choking down more veggie juice? Also, I read on another site that you should include protein powder in your juice each day. Does anyone have anything to say on that? If so, what about the sugar content in those powders? As you can see, I'm very new to this and have a ton of questions. Today is day two....wish me luck! Cheryl
Guest guest
I will say... you need to cut your juices 50%, 50%. 50% jucie, 50% water. This is with all as it is just too strong for the body to handle."cheryl.dangerfield" <cheryl.dangerfield wrote: I've been primarily using fruit juice, since I'm not a big veggie fan. Guest guest
I personally wouldn't put protein powder in juice while I'm detoxifying-- I'd consider it sort of counter-productive. cheryl.dangerfield <cheryl.dangerfield Sent: Sunday, February 25, 2007 9:07:25 AM More Questions I've been primarily using fruit juice, since I'm not a big veggie fan. Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, If you are using primarily fruit juices, keep in mind that fruit juices are more acidic. So you don't want to throw the bodies pH off balance. I think they have 'kit's' that test the bodys alkiline levels. Also to add protein powders to the juice? It all depends on why you want to add protein powders? I associate protein powders with body builders,or folks who want to bulk up. If you are not a big veggie fan. Maybe you could try a 'green' drink. They have many on the market. If you like smoothies and fruit drinks, you may want to swing by the web site of " Jamba Juice " they have recipes for smoothies and more.
