Guest guest
Robert, I think one possible reason for the low interest might be that fasting seems to be mainly something for the "idle rich", because of the requirement for complete rest, and medical supervision. I've done one unsupervised 15 day water fast, and numerous 1-2 day fasts (which I don't think accomplish anything besides just giving the digestion system a rest. I didn't rest or break the fast properly, but didn't have any major healing crises either. I went about my normal activities. I experienced lower blood pressure...my main goal. But I don't know how much other detoxing I accomplished. I've decided to confine myself to periodically using the Burroughs Master Cleanser, or perhaps some herbal cleanses, with pills and normal eating, unless I get a serious illness I think will be helped by strict water only fasting with proper rest. and perhaps supervision as well. Guest guest
I have done a 36 day unsupervised fast and am on day 10 of a 30 day fast. If people would do a little research they would know how to do it. I think most people are afraid they might have major hunger pains. My second fast is much easier than my first. Guest guest
Hi Robert, I'm on day 3 of a water fast.... Today my hunger pains didn't bothered me YET...and I hope they are over... I've heard that from now on I won't feel hungry anymore. I think the lack of activities in this group is due to the girls only grou, where several girls have moved. Maybe it happened because most of us POORR WONEM need to lose weight and since i recall this is not a major goal for most of men, so I think they got embarassed and made their own group where they can cry a lot and get some sympathy.... As a woman, i need to get rid of some kilos as well and hope to get a lot of detox too, but 20 kilos are enough for me... and since i've lost 5 in the first 3 days i think i won't need to worry about. best whishes.. Guest guest
How long do you intend to fast? Is the fast for weight loss only? Guest guest
I had some sore problems with my arms and nerves some years ago due to computer typing. Because of it I had to find a way to relieve the inflammation and pain and I've chosen to do it by diet changes, without medicine. I've been taking 5 day- juice fastings since 1998 once a month and it's really worked. I don't feel any pain or inflammation anymore. Now I'm trying water fasting for the firs time. I've done well until now. I started sunday jul/09 at 8:00 pm and i intend to go until next tuesday8:00 pm. That would be 09 days. i Have to lose some weight, but since I work out every day I don't think it's gonna be difficult. i swim 3 times a week, I run 5 times a week and i do swastya Yoga 3 times a week. I've been doing my regular schedule during this water fasting and I'm feeling good. No hunger pains anymore ando no further problems. so far so good. Next month Aug, I intent do do a 10 day water fasting again. Is that ok or too soon? what about you? What are your reasons for fasting? Guest guest
I would think that is too soon. Weight loss, detox, diabetes resetting, cholesterol cleaning.
