Guest guest Posted March 3, 2006 Report Share Posted March 3, 2006 Thor, Every morning I have a Vitamineral Green drink and in the afternoon the juice of 3 oranges or a 12 - 16 oz green veggies drink that I get at the health foold store (no food in the house). I haven't done any steam or saunas during the fast; I don't know how they would affect a faster. I am planning on getting a series of colonics starting next week. As for mental atunement - all I can say was that I was ready. I may not eat all the time, but I think of food and eating most of the time and got into the habit of unhealthy choices. My weight was only going up and I know for myself a fast will help me break the bad habits and lose the weight I need to lose. Yesterday in lieu of a afternoon juice I had a raw organic kombucha drink and was again .4 (4/10 th) of a lb heavier this am. So it must be something in the drink that keeps the weight from coming off. So I will discontinue using them - even though they are really good for me - probiotics and amino acids and 20% vitamin B's. I´m mostly doing this to break bad habits, fatty and sugary foods, coffe, cigarettes, beer and the occational joint. And to loose weight. Spiritual awakening and development of pshycic abilities would be great too but I´ll settle for the good health The last bit I read about in " Juice fasting " by Steve Meyerowitz and actually refers mostly to water fasting, " Be prepared for the unfolding of some of your psychic abilities " , p. 25. Just now I got home from the health store and grocery where I bought premade juices, herbal tea, colon clenser and skin brush, those are recommended in above mentined book. At the grocer I bought a ton of vegetables and green apples to run through my juicer. There are no colonic clinics around where I live so I´ll have to rely on enemas and colon clenser to get the toxic out of the digestive system. I´m planning on starting the fast next sunday following friday and saturday on a detoxifying diet of vegetables and fruit. I may or may not do a bit of water fasting near the end of my fast, it depends on how the juice fast goes.
