Guest guest
Hi all, I am on the first day of my water and fresh juice fast today. I am going to drink a raw green vitamin & mineral drink once or twice a day and fresh juice when needed. It is mainly going to be just water. I am planning on a 14 - 21 day fast. I only have 22 lbs to lose and will stop at 27 lbs. My plan is to resume to a primarily raw vegan diet when I do start eating again. I am fasting for a few reasons: give my GI tract a chance to rest, break improper eating habits and lose the excess weight I gained after an automobile accident. I appreciate your encouragement and will keep you all posted. jannHttp://www.TwoCompassionateHands.com When shopping online, please consider Two Compassionate Hands. 25% of all profits generated from the Market Place on this site are donated to non-profit organizations dedicated to end hunger, suffering and injustice in the world. Guest guest
Hi all, I am encouraged by your post Jann and I have read some past posts that have kept me going too. I am fasting too, from solid foods primarily. So I doubt that qualifies as a fast really. I need to lose a lot of weight from a recent weight gain from unacceptable eating habits. I am very carb-senstive and this is giving me a break from the cravings. I have no length of time in mind. I am doing this one day at a time with my God. I am on day five today. In the back of my mind, I hope to go on a complete water fast. But I am not that courageous right now. I am working and going to school with the headaches, and other side effects from detoxing. So I am doing the best I can with what I have right now. Judy M. in arkansas. Relax. Mail virus scanning helps detect nasty viruses!
Guest guest
Judy, thank you for your support. When you say you are fasting from solids, what are you actually consuming? I always worry about people who are fasting, but still consuming toxics like diet soday, artificial sweetner and the like. I understand the affects of detoxing and am prepared with some homeopapothic headache remedy. I went out for a walk in a nature center at lunch today and though it was about 38 degrees and windy, it was wonderful. I am going to walk daily at the nature center during the work week and at a lake on the weekend. I am also planning on doing meditation regularly to help slow myself down a bit. I tend to get over busy and I think this is a good time to slow it all down as I can. Thanks again and I look forward to encouraging one another.
