chest pains

Hi,

I'm on day three of a 10 day water fast and experiencing some chest

pains. It feels sort of like indigestion/heartburn. I do not have

any heart problems so I am not overly concerned about it. Just

wondering if this is going to continue.

I prepared for my fast by eating raw for a month and then doing ten

days of juice fasting.

Thanks for your input.

Of course I can't give any medical input but I have

had problems like this. It may continue or end in a day or so.

You really aren't doing anything bad if you have some chamamille

tea to help settle things. If it becomes severe I'd pack it

up and try a longer fast another time.

Things people may have include nausea, no bowel movements, acne

diaharea, if you're the woman who's giving up smoking while fasting

there is some extra detoxing that may make more discomforts.

Heres a quote from the Bragg book the Miracle of Fasting

Buy it from them will you? - its cheap and very helpful. Anything

I wanted to know was in there.

www.bragg.com

" When you fast , the vital force loosens the waste in the body

and sends it into the circulation to be discarded. As long as this

goes on, you feel miserable. But, once the waste is discarded

through the kidneys, you begin to feel much better. As you

fast, conditions change from day to day. When the body is eliminating

heavy amounts of toxic posions through the

kidneys and other organs of elimination, you feel wretched. But it

should also be clear why you may feel better on the 7th day of

a ten day fast then the 3rd day. The toxic poisons that gave you

trouble have been flushed out of the body. Many fasters, under my

supervision have felt far better and stronger on the 10th day of the

fast then they did on the first...

The cleaner you are inside the more vital power you have. So at the

beginning of the fast just grin and bear the discomforts that occur

as you purify the body. You know that as you cleanse you are going

to feel stronger.

Whatever discomforts you many experience during a fast are well

worth the great rewards you are going to receive. "

Your body is equipped to expell all toxins. Take a sample of urine

in a sealed jar or pill bottle and put it on the shelf for a day.

See the mucus that is even being eliminated that way. Digestion

is a major project for the body daily. Giving it a rest will

lead the body do healing work elsewhere.

There will be a better day. Often my first couple were rougher then

my later ones. Hunger and your problem should abate but of course

I don't know your conditions or present health to advise anything

of a medical nature. Hope this was clearer then my first response

Thanks Mike for the information. I took your suggestion and had a cup

of tea. The discomfort eased. I have increased my water intake to

help flush the toxins. I appreciate your help.

Anytime. Bragg suggested that and even I'd rather you put a tiny

bit of honey in it if the days really rough then give up your fast.

How could I advise other then what I did myself in the early fasts I

did? But how could I put down anyone who decided to stop either?

1 day is a success, 1 and half day a success, three day...

Congratulations. You have joined what I call the 1 per cent club.

We are so conditioned to expect every ache and pain to be immediately

put to rest with a pill or potion or stick of gum or something.

You are in control of you now. Your body is feeding you from

storages what you need. God Bless and thanks for responding back.

Soon you will be in ketosis and feel no hunger. Some days you may

be shaky or even stronger and more positive then you've ever felt

before. Some day you'll tell us.

Do drop by again some day if you're in the mood. Your

my kind of people. People who read, consider and DO.

Storytime:

The young buck approached the old medicine man sitting by the

river. " How do I become a great medicine man like you old man? "

The medicine man regarded the young brave with the sun in his hair

and laughing eyes and knew what he could be instantly but that

he was too young to be seriously considering the path.

' Come closer he said. Gotta wanta "

Gottawanta? what does that mean old man ?

As he knelt down with the old man shaking a rattle the old man

suddenly thrust his head under the river water and kept it under

while the brave struggled. Finally he left the brave gasp for air

" What was that for "

" Gottawanna. When you want to know the ways of healing like you

wanted that first breath of air and you Gotta wanta then you

will begin to know the secrets inside you.. I work with gottawanta.

Then the medicine man smiled and laughed and the sunlight was in

his hair.

I think its like that with the benefits of fasting in a junk

food world.Some take the leap.
