Guest guest
Hey Guys, It has been a while since I have posted. I have seen that there have been some posting in the group, this is fantastic. My boss at work did a juice fast. I had told her about my short water fasts and she let me know that her and her husband had talked about fasting and were thinking of doing some to help with getting healthier and losing weight. When I did my fasting, I would fast about 2 to 2 1/2 days per week and did it for about 8 weeks. I have lost some weight but the main reason for the fasting is for health reasons. I havent ever taken it longer as I do not want to go into a deeper fast until the spring when I know the temperatures outside should be warmer. My last water fast was bad as the temperatures outside where usually in the 20s and I got really cold, so that is why I have decided to wait. I might do one from Wednesday night to Friday night just to make sure that I keep things more in balance. I too am addicted to meat and sugar. I used to drink a 6 pack of 24 oz. Pepsis a day (or more), I still usually drink a 24 oz pop a day but I have changed over to Sierra Mist since it has no caffeine but mainly drink water now. I have found this change has caused me to loss some weight and I typically feel better. I had been going down a long road to the standard American diet and am trying hard to steer away from it. I plan on doing a 21 day fast when I decide to my big one in the spring. Since I have never been over 52 hours does anyone think there are any things that I should contemplate going into doing a 21 day fast? I have always loved this group for their candid nature and sage advice. Thanks in advance for the help, faststart164
