Guest guest
Hi All, I have been reading the archived messages from this group and you all seem like really sensible and kind people. I have been interested in fasting for many years and juice fasted once for 36 hours as a fund raiser to end hunger. I recently picked up the book " Hunger - an unnatural history " by Sharman Apt Russell and have been inspired to, at least, contemplate fasting again. I am addicted to sugar, wheat, chocolate and meat. I am about 30 pound overweight and have PMS/perimenopause and minor allergies. I work full time, have two teenage children and a partner and am taking University courses online. The thought of adding one more difficult thing to my already stressful life is overwhelming, yet I feel that fasting would be a really good thing for me to do and that from a philosphical and spiritual perspective it is what I SHOULD do. I am going to get the books that have been recommended on this site and I like the idea of starting a fast by drinking juices first. One of the things that has prevented me from starting any kind of fast is not having anyone to fast with. I am hoping this group will help with that. Thanks for being here. Guest guest
Hi Joanna Hope you overcome your addictions. i have had a few of yours and your life is stressful because of the things you eat, once you get some greens into your life the stress wont seem so bad. life wont change your nerve reserves will. once you get the stress vitimins back into your system with some live dark greens possibly in the form of a salad a day then nothing will seem too difficult. Some people have to get rid of the bad food first before they go on a fast if its too difficult. Some people every time they bump thier toe go through the stress levil as if they are in a major car crash. because thier stress reserves are sugar white flour. junk junk junk.
