Guest guest
I joined here because I thought there would be posting about fasting. Did anybody start today? My day didn't go so well. I would really be encouraged to hear about somebody who is fasting. Are you out there? rachel~

Guest guest
I asked because I didn't see anybody post about their first day. I guess I got the wrong impression of what the group is for. Something has come up and I'm unable to fast at this point in time, so I'll be signing out of the group. thanks, rachel~ , jennie spooner <jhspooner2003> wrote: > > you musy have missed something a few of us started on new years day I am on day 2. how bout you ...... Guest guest
I will start my fast tomorrow. I never have a hard core stop date when I start. If I say three days I will go five. So, whats the point? I will start tomorrow, I guess technically, tonight. When I do a juice fast I just use store bought juices. I tried the whole jucer thing and found it to be frustrating and messy. My life, during the week, is extremely busy. So, I will stock up on juice and hit the grocery stores around lunch time for a bottle of juice. When I first tried a juice fast I would go to the health food store for juice during the middle of the work day. What I discovered was that I was paying twice as much for the same thing I could get at the grocery store. This may not be popular but I love diet V8 Splash. Yes I know it has sweetner in it. Whatever. I usually start out the day with a fruit juice, at lunch time I will have another fruit juice, at dinner time I will get a veggie juice. I then drink lots of water throughout the day. As a side perk I lose a lot of weight and can generally keep it off with a moderate diet and my normal routine of execercise. My preferred execercise is weight lifting. We have three top of the line gyms at work and one semi good (read: old equipment) gym. Dont get down on yourself for failures. That doesnt help. The thing to do is just get back on the path and keep walking. No big deal. , " rachd1961 " <faithful2finish@m...> wrote: > > I joined here because I thought there would be posting about fasting. > Did anybody start today? > > My day didn't go so well. Guest guest
I have a Champion juicer, which I love. It's very easy to use and I really like having the fresh juice during a fast. It's interesting that there is a variety of fasts represented out here. Nice that the group isn't bound to a single fasting philosophy. I don't see anything that has happened this week as a failure. A setback, perhaps, but we can learn from most everything that happens. My fasting time will come. I just have a couple of things I need to work through first. Good luck with your fast! rachel~ , " falconbrother " <falconbrother> wrote: > > I will start my fast tomorrow. I never have a hard core stop date > when I start. If I say three days I will go five. Guest guest
Thanks. I believe that in the same way the body tells us when to end a fast, it can also tell us when to (or when not to) begin one. If the time isn't right, I don't want to start until it is. rachel~ , " goldenmike4393 " <goldenmike4393> wrote: > Yes, I am. Guest guest
Classic Airola, never deviate. Alkaline vegetable juices, mineral broth, dry brushing, walks, afternoon rests. I lost 60 pounds in five months last year. I went on the Zone Diet, when I plateaued twice, I kicked into 30 day fasts each plateau (two times). I am 24% body fat (healthy) but want to drop to 20% body fat which is another 20 pounds. I am using the Fast to reach my last phase. I lift weights and ride a bike 10 miles a day. So, it's a combination of things, but yes to your question: fresh squeezed alkaline juices (Acme juicerator - had since 1972) GM > Was your 60 day fast done as Airola's juice fast? > Best, > Tim > goldenmike4393 <goldenmike4393> wrote: > , " rachd1961 " > wrote: > > > Thanks. Guest guest
Sounds excellent...yes, those old Acme's are like M1 tanks...I have an old Champion. I have been working down in the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans. I came across a mud covered Champion in the ruins of one house...goldenmike4393 <goldenmike4393 wrote: Classic Airola, never deviate. Guest guest
thanks i love the peperment.it works perfectly DSL Something to write home about. Just $16.99/mo. or less
Guest guest
Notice how much extra time you have fasting? No meal preparation, no clean up, and a lot of left over money at the end of the month! I can't think of anything bad about it! I especially love charging my Jamba Juice card so they make my juice for me. Too cool, like being on vacation from the drudgery of life! Guest guest
Did you save it for parts? I have two Acme Juicerators. I bought one in 1972. I rode my bike 25 miles to a distributor who felt sorry for me and sold me my machine (used!) Then, about 5 years ago at the flea market, I found a brand new one and bought it for... (yes) $7.00. I can interchange the parts. It's nice not having to clean the basket up before using again. I pull the second basket, juice, then clean them both when not using Jamba Juice (carrot orange only, none of the processed stuff). I keep it on my counter along with my other prize possessions: the huge Kitchen Aid Mixer that cranks the bowl up, and my huge Cuisinart food processor. hahahaha! Guest guest
No I didn't save it...I beleive it was probably pretty weel done in by the water and mud. That sounds like a great set-up you have though... Timgoldenmike4393 <goldenmike4393 wrote: Did you save it for parts? I have two Acme Juicerators. I bought one in 1972. Guest guest
I haven't been in this forum for a long time, but thoguht I would check in as I am now on day 10 of a water fast. Unlike my previous fasts (only a week each), I didn't start to feel bad with the toxins beginning to flush until days 5 and 6. I feel fine now, but was a little trembly early yesterday. I am working normally, which involves driving 150 miles on Monday and working away from home until Friday. Hoping to go past 2 weeks, because I really need to get my blood pressure down and lose a LOT of weight so as not find myself with diabetes and leg ulcers. Best of luck to everyone else doing the same!
