I have to say I agree with Dr. Graham's assessment.

I have always wondered, though, if my poor reaction to wheatgrass juice was not due to the toxic load I was carrying at the time. When I was at the Hippocrates Institute there were those who seemed to have little trouble ingesting wheatgrass juice, either orally or anally... I just assumed that maybe they were less toxic than I was.

It offers nothingof importance that is not in lettuces, celery, and other greens. In fact, all of the greens carry, basically, all of the nutrients, just in different proportions. There is nothing special about wheat grass other than the fact that it will make you sick if you attempt to eat it.Dr DQ. Why is wheatgrass juice toxic?A. The response from most people is not one of health. Too high apercentage of theresponses include: vomiting, nausea, stomach upset, irritation, stimulation, shakey

feelings, etc, all key indicators of something toxic.I'll go out on a limb here, but, to my knowledge, humans have no knownneed forchlorophyll. That said, let's remember that whole foods are a cornerstone ofhealthy eating.Hence, the juice of the grass of the wheat is not superfood, it is atbest no better than thejuice of any other vegetable. Personally I recommend the use of wholefoods over juices. It ismy opinion that foods that cannot be eaten in their whole raw stateare not actually fit foodsfor human consumption.Dr. DougI am aware of and ascribe no therapeutic or health benefits to theconsumption of wheatgrass, its juice, or the juice of any grass for that matter.Personally, I think it is a gimmick.Let's stop looking for cures and start living in a way that results inhealth.Dr. DougI recommend the use of whole foods over juices. Eat wheat grass andyou will get sick. I seeno

benefit in the use of wheat grass when comparing it to the use oftender greens such aslettuces, celery, etc, hence I do not recommend its use.Dr Dvegsource very good website http://www.vegsource.com/talk/raw/messages/18357.html
