Guest guest
I was overweight about 235 lbs and working at a call center. Everything was irritating me it seemed job, people I met and it seemed I was always tired and had a snappish temper.BY your 40's your past habits start to catch up with you if they havent already. Both parents were adult onset diabetics, overweight and my father had quadruple bypass and bowel cancer which he died of. Some one recommended fasting and I was in a clearance book store in Canada. Stores would spring up temporarily in vacant stores with banners GIANT BOOK SALE !. That was where I found The Miracle of Fasting for 4.99. It was the best 5.00$ I have ever spent. It gave me the fundamentals of do it yourself fasting without fear. I trusted the sincerity of father and daughter Braggs. Its still for sale at www.bragg.com and other places in a 50th anniversary edition. I dont believe any other detox system is necessary. Sorry people who'd like to make a buck selling internal cleansers. I followed on to Natural Hygiene for the rest of the info to manage my health. I've still got some pounds to lose My blood pressure has dropped in the 5 years since and pictures showed the change. I have stopped taking allergy pills I had taken for 30 years. Skin acne eliminated. I believe the future is ghastly grim unless people learn that processed foods and factory farmed meat are laying a time bomb for their futures. Sucking back cokes and smoking cigarettes and eating in the food court. Complaining about air pollution while polluting with what we eat. Fasting is a precious gift of healing. Suffer a little with a water only fast and feel a lot better later. INHO anyway. good info at www.soilandhealth.org scanned free books historical fasting info in alternate health include Linda Hazzard, Dr Shelton , Nature Cure and Ross Horne among others . Guest guest
Hey Mike I too love Braggs book I read it for inspiration whenever I fast. Its too bad the rest of the world doesnt know about such health because the money making people dont want us to get too smart because they are getting rich off of our sickness. I once had a doctor get mad at me when I mentioned fasting. I told him Hippocraties, " father of all medicine" whos words he took an oath on..... often prescribed fasting for his patients..... the doctor had nothing to say.....they arent even taught this in medical school to the point of teaching that it can heal.... oh well we can teach others if no one else will.......... Guest guest
Good thoughts Mike and Jennie...After your comments on "The Miracle of Fasting" I pulled it out again last night and read it some. Wondeful stuff. I like his "doctors." Doctor Sunshine, Doctor Fresh Air, Doctor Good Natural Food, Doctor Pure Water, Doctor Fasting, Doctor Exercise, Doctor Adequate Rest, Doctor Good Posture. I am finding his "doctors" to more soundly contribute to good health than years of a fairly good diet and supplements...and his "doctors" are alot cheaper too!
