fasting while nursing???

Hi all,

 

Im new to the list and am curious about fasting/cleansing/detoxing

while nursing my 15 month old twins. I dont want to wean them yet,

but feel a GREAT need to clean out. Any thoughts or suggestions would

be appreciated.

I would not fast during nursing your body releases toxins and you wouldent want this in your breast milk. also your body needs great energy during these times and extra nutrition. skip all junk sugar caffiene white flour and its products and artificial sweetiner. your bodies metobolism is higher because it has the extra job of producing milk, whole grains are the best for you right now. it is not the time to fast. Grains seeds fruit some chicken or fish pure water. steamed veggies salads potatoes sweet potatoes. use your judgement. just go 100 healthy food, and please not less, just better. I lost alot of weight breast feeding and eating healthy food.....jen
